Designed for a major automotive manufacturer, this programmable LED sign is network enabled, with no central server required

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – March 19, 2024 – Linortek, maker of controllers for “Internet of Things” (IoT), today announced the debut of The Netrixx, the first affordable TCP/IP programmable LED information display. Designed for a major automotive manufacturer, The Netrixx is an IP-based visual message display that serves as an effective tool for visual mass notifications, updates, and emergencies. It is network enabled, but requires no central server.

As a programmable LED sign, The Netrixx is useful for any situation where it’s necessary to communicate rapidly with a large number of people. Powered by a built-in web server with the hardware and software for installation and operation, The Netrixx is suitable for retailers, restaurants, schools, offices, and hospitals, as well as manufacturing facilities. It enables simple, efficient visual mass notification and can function as an emergency communication system.

Users can set up customized messages and alerts and instantly see them displayed on a bright, multi-colored LED display. The Netrixx comes with 25 customizable messages that can be adapted into pre-programmed alerts and announcements.

“Our clients often manage large physical environments where issues like safety require rapid, clear communication,” said a spokesperson for Linortek. “This is the problem we are solving with The Netrixx. However, unlike many other indoor signage solutions, The Netrixx is economical, easy-to-use, and gets users out of the costly and cumbersome requirement to set up a dedicated server for the device.” The IP-enabled LED display can be installed anywhere on an organization’s network.

The Netrixx can also be used as an LED clock, with a countdown/countup timer in idle periods. Users can customize clock digits up to 10 inches in height, for visibility of up to 260 feet (80 meters) and choose from five clock types. A typical use case might be counting down to the end of a lunch break on a factory floor. The Netrixx can prompt employees to return to work.

A RESTful API makes it relatively simple to integrate The Netrixx with third-party systems, such as fire alarms, surveillance technologies, and more. For example, the sign could be configured to show a message like “Evacuate building through North exit” when a fire alarm is triggered. The device can be paired with the Netbell industrial public address (PA) system to provide an effective emergency alert solution.
