LAKESIDE UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT’S HOME FLEX PROGRAM IS UP AND RUNNING
Lakeside Union School District’s Home Flex Program is up and running! If your child prefers working independently, this is the program for them!
Based out of Riverview International Academy, Home Flex gives students the option to create their own schedules free of bells. Because we understand that traditional schooling can distract and overwhelm students, in addition to general life circumstances deterring students from school, Home Flex was created with these students in mind. This can be a permanent solution or a solution that just helps students started in the right direction.
Students don’t miss out on social interactions, as Home Flex offers the option of small study groups two to three times a week! Home Flex students are also welcome to be a part of any Lakeside Union enrichment program, including language programs, field trips, assemblies and more. This even includes attending our sixth to eighth grade visual and performing arts programs for one period!
Education is not a one size fits all experience. Some students find traditional school too fast while others find it moves too slow. This makes Home Flex ideal for students who learn at different paces than their peers.
Home Flex builds competence, critical thinking, creativity and communication in all learners! This program is a part of the Lakeside Union School District’s commitment to academic excellence, a rich and varied curriculum and a focus on project-based learning. You can be a part of our award-winning school district even if you don’t enjoy the traditional five days a week in school.
